The World Museum of Archive Boxes in Rajhrad, Czech Republic

Pracovníci Státního okresního archivu Brno-venkov se sídlem v Rajhradě a členové pobočky ČIS při NA Praha, byvše inspirováni odbornou exkurzí do francouzských archivů v roce 2006, začali vytvářet zcela originální a nejen v Českých zemích nevídané muzeum archivních kartonů. Pomocí našeho katalogu může návštěvník těchto stránek:
  • prohlížet muzejní exponáty, aniž opustí pohodlí své pracovny
  • ověřit si, zda karton, který se právě chystá vyhodit, je již ve sbírce obsažen
  • pomocí kontaktního mailu informovat kurátora muzea Mgr. Ivo Durce o šťastném nálezu nového exponátu a dohodnout s ním jeho (bezúplatný) převod do sbírek
  • vyvinout vlastní, dosud nezavedený typ archivního kartonu
  • inspirovat se při hledání cíle letošní rodinné dovolené

The employees of the National District Archive Brno-venkov in Rajhrad and members of Section of the Czech Information bureau of National Archives in Prague were inspired by their excursion to various French Archives in 2006 and started to establish exclusive World Museum of Archive Boxes.

We created a web catalog of collected archive boxes. With the help of our web pages, the visitor can: 

  • Browse through the museum’s exhibits without having to leave home 

  • Confirm that the box, which he/she is about to discard, is already in the museum collection – If the aforementioned box is not in the collection, he/she can contact the Guardian of the museum Mgr. Ivo Durec by e-mail and inform him about the new discovery, then arrange (gratis) transportation to the collection 

  • Create a brand new type of archive box 

  • Perhaps be inspired by this exhibition to come to visit us!
